Artist's Bio - Lisa LaRue-Baker of Cherokee 785 Arts

Lisa LaRue-Baker has been a Cherokee basketmaker for over 20 years, and has taught hundreds of students the art, both as a tribal employee and as a private teacher. She also is adept in traditional Cherokee clay bead jewelry and cornhusk dolls. She is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation and is also a photographic artist and designs upcycled vintage clothing.
