"Aesop's The Tortoise and the Hare"

Who doesn't love this children's story!?! This papercutting depicts the Hare in the lead, and the Tortoise following behind. Of course, the Hare thinks that he is going to win by a long shot, but we know who will win in the end! "Aesop's The Tortoise and the Hare" was cut using scherenschnitte scissors, and Xacto knife from antique-like parchment paper, then mounted on contrasting brown scherenschnitte paper. Hand painted grained frame, under glass, and ready to hang with saw a tooth hanger. This frame does not have an easel back, it has been propped to be photographed. Signed and dated - La Donna Welter 2008. Measuring 5" x 7".  $40.00 with Priority shipping included.

"Rag Dolly"

Oh, how this little girl loves her well worn dolly. Dolly is her best friend, through the good times and the bad. Through time-outs in the corner, and unwanted naps in the afternoon. Dolly is even there when mom makes her eat her peas! Who can ask for a better friend? "Rag Dolly" has been cut using scherenschnitte scissors from black French silhouette paper, then mounted on contrasting brown colored, flower dotted, scherenschnitte paper. Framed, under glass, and ready to hang or sit with easel back. Signed and dated - La Donna Welter 2008. Measuring 8 1/2" x 10 1/2" to outside edge of frame.
 $30.00 with Priority shipping included.

Could be a kite up in the sky,
And ride upon the wind and go
Whichever way I chanced to blow.
