J have been wanting to make a Butterfly pinkeep for the longest time, and now finally, with the inspiration of seeing some Monarchs floating around in my backyard, I was able to put together this “fantasy Monarch”! It is made from black and copper wool felt, has many embroidered details as well as beading for an accent. There are also seed bead eyes and wire antennae. I left the base very simple so it wouldn’t compete with the design. It measures 6½” tall at the wing tips and the base piece measures 2½” in diameter.
I have made several of these and it will be, as always, first come first serve. This piece is a fully functional piece of art and would also look great as decoration or as part of a collection!
The piece is signed and dated on the bottom by me! If you order more than one of any of the items, I will consolidate shipping and figure out a general shipping charge for all the items combined.

Yum, yum ! This small Cupcake pincushion/pinkeep was hand made from the cup to the pincushion! I used those new silicone cupcake ‘baking forms’ as my mold to make the paper mache cups for the cupcakes! I strip paper mached the dry paper pulp cupcake cups and then hand painted, sealed and waxed the cups. The cupcake itself is made from a six sided wool felt ball that has been decorated with wool felt ‘frosting’. I have decorated it with embroidered details and beads. On the top I created a JOL from wool felt…( trust me, someone should have had me committed coming up with THIS one!) Yes, 6 TINY slices of wool felt all hand blanket stitched together to form the JOL, then decorated it with wool felt and embroidered features plus black seed bead eyes. The JOL measures 1½” tall to the top of it’s stem and has a circumference of 3½”. The cupcake really is the size of a regular baked cupcake… it measures 4” from the bottom of the base to the top of the JOL stem and has an 8” circumference. The nicest thing about this cupcake is it’s totally NON-FATTENING!!!!! So you can have as many as you want!! Hooray!.

Hard to believe it’s already August and before we know it even this year will be over…. time flies when you’re having fun! I hope you enjoy what I have up here this month. I also have items up on eBay, so please go to my eBay listings and see what I have up there as well!
Just a reminder, I DO NOT do commissions or special orders of any kind…. Just don’t have the time and frankly, also just don’t like doing them! I try to constantly design and make a great variety of items for both Pfatt and Ebay. I hope soon to also have a store on Etsy.com.
I suggest you insure your items, since any damage or loss in transit is something I cannot be responsible for. I pack everything very well but you never know! If you do wish to add insurance, please let me know. Insurance is figured according to purchase totals.
